Let’s Get Charitable: Community Involvement Committee

We’re proud of all the good works our offices have accomplished during Rewarding Lives Week and to benefit the United Way of Greater Kansas City, Toys for Tots and other wonderful local organizations. And that’s not even including the hundreds of thousands of Kansas Citians our agents have served through their home ownership journeys!

However, with over 2,000 agents in the Kansas City area, we recognized that it’s not possible to benefit every organization that our agents care about on a company-wide level. Enter the Community Involvement Committee: a group comprised of brokers, agents and corporate staffers and charged with designating company dollars to donate to causes near and dear to our agents’ hearts. We invited agents and employees to submit applications detailing their favorite organizations, and we were pleased with the number of requests we were able to grant.

All told, we benefited dozens of organizations—all of which were recommended by our agents. In 2018, we’ve made it our goal to expand the Community Involvement Committee even further and encourage more agents to submit applications for donations.
