Future-proof Your Business and Your Life

How do you feel about technology and artificial intelligence in real estate? Disruptors in our industry promise a fast return, and there’s always someone offering different technology to change the way we do business.

However, no technology replaces good service — it can add to it, but it can never replace it. There are three elements that will not change in the years to come: relationships, service and skills. If you invest time in these three areas, you will reap the rewards for years to come.

RELATIONSHIPS

People always want someone to trust and help them — be that person! Categorize your database and know who your best advocates are. Then, spend time with those people: go to lunch, have coffee, send a personal note. Give your clients your full attention and listen to what they have to say. Give them an exceptional experience.

SERVICE

If the service you get in person isn’t any better than what you can get online — and it doesn’t cost anything extra — why wouldn’t you just do your business online? You need to be better than any service someone can find online. People are drawn to excellence — so deliver excellent service to your clients.

SKILLS

Develop your skills to become a master. An Olympic athlete doesn’t win the gold medal during the competition — the gold medal is won in practice. You must practice your trade and increase your skills to stay competitive.

Reach out to your clients — past and present — and invest your time, attention and resources to provide stand-out service. Never become too busy to become better, and you’ll future-proof your business and your life.
